Our next big step is to build live dashboards based on the two designs we’ve designed. We’re hoping to include everything from state assessments to behavioral data in these dashboards. Our plan is to pilot these dashboards with elementary school teachers and their students.
Our initial two designs were focused on teachers and students. We are hoping to create a design for principals next. This mockup will require some additional research, as principals have requested that financial data be added to their dashboards.
One thing we really wanted to pull into our ODS was standards-aligned data. We figured this would be pretty easy, but it turned out that weren’t any other districts who had done this with our SIS vendor before. We’re still figuring out the details of building this in a replicable way. Rather than doing a one-off customization, we’re hoping to build something we can contribute to the field — not just for ourselves, but for other districts who could benefit from this work.
