Ensuring that every student is known by name, strength, and need and graduates prepared for the future they choose
We plan to continue elevating digital and media literacy as a priority across the district. We want to help teachers see how it fits into formative assessment and standards-based instruction.
One of our goals for next year is to continue the personalized learning cohort model and increase capacity by adding more professional development sessions or more members. Our plan is to learn from our work this year and identify how to best expand and refine our cohort. One goal is to take a district team to Dallas Independent School District, a leader in implementing this work, to learn about their efforts in building capacity.
Our goal is to provide meaningful professional learning opportunities for all of our teachers, to allow them to grow skillsets that support students in developing 21st century skills.
As we think about standards-based instructional planning, we’re asking ourselves: how do we create with other teacher and learning colleagues to make sure we are integrating and making relevant these standards in core instruction? We are seeking funding to pay for more professional development of integrating standards into the core curriculum.
