Pathway to Excellence
Our district vision is that all students are prepared to meet the demands of 21st century citizenship, careers, and post-secondary education. To achieve this vision, we’ve identified a need for a data-driven culture. According to a survey on data interoperability by Project Unicorn, 78% of educators believe that data can validate where their students are where they can go. Our hope is that students, parents and teachers will use data to collaboratively design learning plans that meet individual student needs.
As of the fall of 2016, every student throughout the district in grades 4-12 has a Chromebook, with the goal of closing learning gaps. The prevalence of digital applications requires us to have a new level of data governance. With data interoperability, we can increase our ability to have secure, private, and seamless integration of assessment and student personal learning systems data.
