Types of opportunities ranged from participating in local commercial and governmental internships, online courses, the PrepareRI program, and other project based learning experiences. One notable program provided by the Herreshoff Museum Boat Building Program, part of a 150 year old organization, gave 30 students the ability to plan out and build a boat which was launched at the end of the program.
