Kareem Edouard is a senior research fellow at the ExCITe Center at Drexel University. His research focuses on bridging the digital divide, providing equitable access to STEM education, and connecting technology to students of color in underserved communities. His work with colleagues examining topics of race and gender representation within makerspaces has been presented on a national stage at SXSW EDU 2019.

Youngmoo Kim is the director of the ExCITe Center and Music and Entertainment Technology Laboratory at Drexel University. Dr. Kim was named “Scientist of the Year” by the 2012 Philadelphia Geek Awards and has been honored as an Apple Distinguished Educator. He also has extensive experience in music performance. His research explores machine listening and learning, human-computer interaction, and audio signal processing, while being mindful of issues around the lack of race equity in STEM fields.

Chris Lehmann is the founding principal of the Science Leadership Academy, a progressive science and technology high school in Philadelphia, PA. The Science Leadership Academy is an inquiry-driven, project-based, 1:1 laptop school that is considered to be one of the pioneers of the School 2.0 movement nationally and internationally. Science Leadership Academy is the Dell Center of Excellence in Education.

Andy Stutzman is a technologist with a passion for community engagement. As the Project Director for Civic Technology at Drexel University’s ExCITe Center, he works to connect his expertise to the needs of local community organizations and youth programs. Andy also serves as the co-chair for the Technology Learning Collaborative in Philly, focusing on digital inclusion issues, and as the Technology Director for NJ Odyssey of the Mind, supporting creative problem solving for youth.
