The program was initially developed with the support of the National Science Foundation and is now entering its 13th year, serving more than 200 students since our first cohort in 2007. We firmly believe that creating and making are the best ways to learn, not only for students, but also for us, as the program developers. We’ve applied our expertise in music, technology, engineering, computing, and science to design every aspect of the curriculum, incorporating our custom-developed iPad apps.

Using music – something all students are familiar with – we are able to explore technical concepts in a way that is engaging and impactful on students’ lives. Our hope is to engage with students who may not have otherwise considered science, computing, and engineering, particularly those from backgrounds underrepresented in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields.
