Empowering all students to make meaningful contributions to the world
While we cooperate with many local businesses already, we would like to streamline our onboarding process for partners so that we can maximize the number of partnerships and subsequent RWL opportunities available to students. This will allow us to tap into different job types in which students may want to participate.
Holding the Community Connections PBL Workshop annually has given us ample time to reflect on how we can best facilitate the workshop. Given our practice, we are at a stage where we feel comfortable enough to facilitate multiple workshops per year. This also will reduce the bottleneck of teachers applying to our one session and allow us to better support teachers in implementing RWL experiences in their classrooms.
Since RWL programs are expanding, more teachers will be implementing activities, and consequently, we as a district will need to provide ample support. It’s a shifting of mindset but every step brings us closer to implementing our goal of 20/20 vision.
