Career Highlights

Over the last five years, Mike has been responsible for initiating and facilitating all projects in conjunction with a $13.8 million grant that was awarded by the state of Ohio to the Mentor and Kirtland school districts. This included the construction of a professional development center (Paradigm), redesigning the media center and digital learning labs, updating classrooms and planning and facilitating professional learning experiences for the district staff which includes the creation of online learning classes by district teachers. His role has expanded over the last few years to include work in redesigning learning spaces in the middle and elementary schools and also overseeing the district's Catalyst program. Before this Mike was school principal for 8 years.

Fun Fact

He washes his car weekly, and also likes to move the furniture around in his house at least every other week!

Career Highlights

Spent more than 30 years serving Northeast Ohio communities as an educator--also in the roles of assistant superintendent, director of K-through-8 education, Principal, Assistant Principal, Teacher (English) and coach. Earned the John Weiss Lake County Administrator of the Year Award -- as its first-ever recipient.

Fun Fact

Lived in the Mentor Schools district for 27 years with his wife, Marie, of 30 years, who is also an educator. Together, they have raised a loving family with four daughters - Jackie, Nicole, Michelle and Danielle.
