Providing every child with a high-quality education in a safe and innovative learning environment
Part of CUSD’s mission is to educate our students in a multicultural and additive bilingual environment. We believe that helping our students attain biliteracy and bilingualism with academic and professional proficiency will create greater opportunities. Our students will develop the self-efficacy and self-confidence to be successful in a competitive 21st century global community. The Two-Way Dual Language Immersion Program (TWDIP) integrates native Spanish speaking students and native English speaking students, providing instruction in all academic areas in both the target language (Spanish) and English. TWDIP strives to promote bilingualism and bi-literacy, grade-level academic achievement, and positive cross-cultural attitudes and behaviors in all students.
