The community organization Hendricks CareerTek works with local employers, like Beloit Health Systems, area school districts, and LRNG:Badgerland to create career prep pipelines through specialized digital badging.
Educators and employers work together to identify resources and create "playlists" of career-focused and knowledge-based online and in-community activities that build needed skills and competencies. Students engaged and submitted evidence of their learning, earning digital badges and micro-credentials that certify success along the way. Students who earn badges are then invited to job shadow with professionals at local places of employment.
