Collaborating with other districts for professional development
Creating a camp where teachers can learn from each other

At Indian Prairie, we are firm believers in getting outside of our own networks and bubbles for new ideas. As far as extending opportunities to teachers, we do so in two primary ways.

  • The SAMRi Teacher Camp is a professional development experience designed and facilitated for educators by educators. This free conference is a collaboration between Indian Prairie and other suburban school districts and brings together teachers, library media center directors, instructional coaches, building and district administrators and more for a day of exploration, conversation, and collaboration.
  • District 204 is a member of the Expanded Learning Opportunities (eLo) Consortium with two other local districts. This group provides online coursework for students across the three districts. Teachers from each of the three districts work together to create the course and may teach students from all districts in the online environment. District 204 is also a collaborative partner with three other school districts and Aurora University to operate the John C. Dunham STEM Partnership School.
