Richland School District 2

At R2i2 (Richland 2 Institute of Innovation), students from all district high schools join together for exciting learning opportunities, which are an extension of the classes offered at their home high schools. Students come from their home schools to R2i2 for either a morning or an afternoon session.

Students can registers for courses including Next Energy Engineering, Apple App Development, 3D Printing and Design, Virtual Business, Culinary Arts, Social Media, Global Logistics, and Computer Forensics. These courses prepare students for entrance into college programs and careers in our local and global community. A full-time teaching staffhas specialized degrees and certifications in their subject areas.Through these courses, R2i2 students and programs have won many awards and distinctions including: Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams EXCITE Award, Dassault Academic Testing Center, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow SC winners, IT-ology State Department Innovation Challenge, Edison Award Nominee, and a partnership with e-NABLE to provide prosthetic devices.
