Remake Learning Days - Badgerland: where the venue might be virtual, but the learning is REAL!
Because even though our social practices may have changed, the need for learning has not!

Remake Learning Days: Badgerland was intended to be a week-long, hands-on celebration at schools, museums, and libraries to celebrate the arts and educational activities for youth, but concerns about COVID-19 threatened its future.

Undaunted, more than two dozen nonprofit organizations banded together to offer the celebration to youth and families in a new and safe way: virtually.

The new "Remake Learning Days: V(irtual)-Style" is billed as a community celebration where the venue may be virtual, but the learning is REAL!

A consortium of arts, education, and cultural organizations — schools, libraries, nonprofits, businesses, and other community centers — banded together to provide more than 200 online, live-stream, and “on-demand” virtual learning experiences for youth and families.

The free programs were available to learners of all ages and organized by learning themes: Arts, Maker, Outdoor Learning, Science, Technology, and Youth Voice. In addition, there were Professional Development sessions with practical tips and resources for educators and parents.

The experience not only fostered a new way of teaching among the educators, but also introduced a variety of new and emerging education organizations to local families.
