The “why” behind the work

Computational thinking is a life skill that must be introduced to all responsible stakeholders prior to introducing any coding program. It is imperative that teachers and students understand that any Robotics program cannot be successful without the understanding of coding as a form of everyday thinking and not one of basic programming and robots.  Artifact: https://bit.ly/2DGZl1E

Achieving Success as a TEAM- The goal of improving educational outcomes for our students can only be accomplished through the engagement and collaboration of parents and community stakeholders. As a result of this and Dr. Espinoza’s collaborative efforts that SISD has developed a strong home, school, district leadership, and community partnership and has achieved unprecedented levels of success. When moving towards a 1:1 learning environment, a district must consider the importance of professional development for teachers. While teachers are comfortable with the idea of laptops, tablet and cell phones, they are often challenged with finding ways to incorporate them in their teaching. There it is imperative that there is an ongoing level of training and support provided by the district. Artifact: https://bit.ly/2WFIyn8
