Embrace change. Kids can’t wait for you to get comfortable.
Every Mineola student receives exposure to computational thinking at multiple points in their K-12 career, and they can show you what they know and can do. From early elementary exposure to concepts such as purposeful play and block-based coding to middle school web development to high school computer science principles and electives in entrepreneurship, students learn in environments that grow their computational thinking competency. Coupled with a culture that celebrates a growth mindset and the design thinking process, all of our students will graduate with an understanding of the core concepts and core practices recommended by K12cs.org—and they have a portfolio that showcases their skills.
