No matter what Mother Nature has in mind, our students are consistently connected to their education every day through innovative instructional strategies and the use of technology, Students are also developing their online learning skills in preparation for the types of learning they will be engaged in college and careers.

 

This is an opportunity for us to provide continuous instruction that would otherwise be put on hold due to weather, staff professional development, or other school cancellations. Every student has a 24/7 technology device which allows the district to keep students engaged in their learning and education when school is canceled. Teachers employ many technology-based instructional strategies that engage students in relevant lessons aligned to their current classroom instruction. Lessons are designed to include instruction, modeling, independent practice, and an assessment. These lessons utilize non-traditional tools such as video conferencing, collaborative tools, communication through Learning Management System platforms, gaming, hands-on performance tasks using everyday items from home, and social media.
