Find and implement effective ways to maximize student-centered learning
The Arcadia Innovation Summit is a completely free annual conference hosted and funded by the Arcadia Unified School District. Attended by over 1,000 educators representing more than 90 schools and districts from across California, the conference boasts opportunities to collaborate, share best practices, and choose from dozens of high quality sessions to attend. We provide free admission and free lunch to encourage attendees to stay on campus and connect with educators from different schools and districts.
One of our five district values is "Collaborate" and we believe that it is immensely important to not only collaborate within our district but with those outside as well. Through the summit we have gained amazing partnerships and connections with educators all over California.
The latest summit (June 2018) included sessions on VR, student portfolios, personalized learning, Google Apps, and many other topics. A showcase also gives our students an opportunity to share and present work to attendees. The Arcadia Innovation Summit has quickly become a well-loved staple of summer professional development in Southern California and beyond.
