Loudoun County Public Schools

In the 2017-18 school year, we partnered with Code to the Future to support our first computer science immersion elementary schools. Code to the Future provided ongoing professional learning and coaching to teachers as they designed learning experiences that led to exhibitions of student learning or “epic builds.” Students at these three computer science immersion schools use computer programming to help solve authentic, challenging problems. Leveraging the professional learning from our three computer science immersion elementary schools, LCPS is designing the structures to integrate computer science into core content areas for all 75 of our elementary and middle schools.
