Onslow County Schools

The NC Department of Public Instruction recognizes Onslow County Schools as the only Global Ready Model school district in North Carolina. Also, two of the eight state-recognized schools are OCS elementary schools. The district hosts 72 international teachers, five elementary dual language immersion (DLI) sites, and two middle school DLI sites. Through international partnerships and sister schools in Colombia, Moldova, South Africa, and in Jamaica, our teachers have traveled internationally, networked with international colleagues, and taught international children. These experiences help our teachers deliver core instruction through a global perspective, which benefits our students and yields more college and career ready graduates.
