Sioux Falls School District 49-5

We have partnered with Code to the Future to implement Computer Science Immersion in three Title I elementary schools and two high-poverty middle schools. Students in grades K-8 are learning the fundamentals of coding and using their skills to complete projects that align with English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and Mathematics standards. Our goal is to have all students ready for AP Computer Science by 9th grade. We have begun work with Dakota State University to create a Computer Science Pathway where students could graduate high school with up to 30 college credits on their transcript.
