With the help of Modern Teacher, we created a professional development plan to ensure all teachers are provided with the tools and resources to transform learning and implementing blended learning throughout the system. By taking a cohesive approach in bringing together research-based best practices (balanced-literacy, teacher evaluation, math framework, and Profile of SC Graduate), we’re able to support teachers and students with clarity and shared vision embraced by the community of “One Team, One Mission, One Rock Hill.” Partnering with Modern Teacher, our district level steering committee has come together to outline our beliefs through Rock Hill’s Instructional Model, LEAP.

LEAP brings together all that we believe about best instructional practices in Rock Hill Schools, including our math and literacy frameworks, teacher observation rubrics, LDC and MDC, Understanding by Design, RTI, PLCs, and blended learning. The purpose of an instructional model is to create cohesiveness and ensure that every child in every school experiences a high-quality learning environment, equitable resources, achieves at their highest level, and is prepared for success.
