Hosted by the Kansas City Education Collective, LearningLabs invite educators to observe school, team, and colleague team best practices in a supportive, face-to-face environment, so that members can rigorously reflect on the observed practices and walk away with new or refined ideas that can be implemented in the near future.
How does it work? When educators attend a LearningLab, the following process is used to glean best practices for implementation:.
1. Establish contextSee and discuss key actions, systems, and documents that inform the best practice you are observing.
2. Observe the practice in actionObserve a best practice in action with specific look-fors to validate and refine your practice and the school you observe.
3. Discuss the implicationsShare what you see and hear in action. Everyone leaves with a specific next-step they can put into practice immediately.
