Designing instructional excellence for every student, every day #MiddieRising
Middie XL, our district-wide, innovative symposium, provides an exciting and informative opportunity for our community to see, hear, and experience the Middie Modernization Movement and our Living Quality Profile in person.
Our Living Quality Profile was developed to flip the idea of a static Quality Profile Document. Most districts in Ohio produce a long Quality Profile document tied to a state report card that few people will ever read. But we wanted to invite the community into our schools to see, hear, and experience the work we do every day.
Key focus areas of the Living Quality Profile include:
In 2018, over 3,000 residents of Middletown City School District attended our kickoff event, where we we debuted our #MiddieRising Movie, showcasing a day in the life of one of our students and starring Middletown High School senior Madalyn Thomas. Afterwards, we invited our community into our modernized high school and brand new middle school to experience our Living Quality Profile in action and all the engaging programs and clubs our K-12 schools offer our students.
The Living Quality Profile is changing the way we present our profile to the greater community. We organized the event with 100% student input. The students want to show outsiders as well as the local community that there is life here in Middletown Schools and they have innovative opportunities that they are excited to share.
